April 3-5, 2017, the International Logistics and Supply Chain Management Seminars were held at the Orion Hotel. Denny J. Cho (Public Advisor to the Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan, Former Professor, American University of Central Asia, Doctor of Engineering Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania, Masters of Engineering, University of Tennessee Space Institute), André Kreije (Dean, German Academy of Foreign Trade and Logistics, Doctor of Economics, Heriot-Watt University) Phil Greening (Doctor of Economics, Cranfield University, Director, Sustainable Road Freight Center, Associate Professor of Logistics, Heriott-Watt University), Peter McCann (Associate Professor, American University of Central Asia, MBA, Western University, Canada, Additional Studies, Harvard University and University of Toronto) and Iskender Sharsheev (Director, Global Technology Solutions, Executive Director, Association of Foreign Investors, Chairman, Committee for Support of Foreign Business in the Kyrgyz Republic, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic) provided training and consulting services. The Deputy Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Eldar Kurmanbekovich Abakirov, opened the seminar. Representatives of transport and logistics, production, trade companies, international organizations, Kyrgyz and Kazakh universities, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic were in attendence. At the close of the seminar, GTS and Kühne Stiftung awarded certificates to each participant, testifying to their awareness of current best practices and skills in LSCM.
