GUEST LECTURE AT IUCA
On November 1, 2018, a guest lecture by Dr. Denny Cho, President of Global Technology Solutions, Professor of the University of Pennsylvania on a unique topic: “Green Logistics” in the course of “Logistics 3”, was held at the International University in Central Asia (IUCA) in Tokmok. The course "Logistics 3" is taught by Kairat Itibaev, who recently received another master's degree in Global Supply Chain and Operational Management from the Berlin School of Economics and Law. The master's degree in this specialty is the first and only one in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The guest lecture was intended for students of the IUCA undergraduate program. The main objective of the lecture was to familiarize students with current trends and challenges in changing the global environment and their impact on the supply chain and logistics. The applications of more cheap and available technologies in the field of storage, complete sets and transportation can significantly reduce the negative impact on nature and ensure the sustainable development of the business model of logistics services.
